Emlyn grew up on the border of the black mountains and the Brecon Beacons in South Wales, with a childhood was spent either hiking or mountain biking. He discovered climbing when he went to university in 2015. Since then he has climbed all around the UK, Europe, Canada and Iceland. He’s been working in the outdoor industry for 7 years and as a freelance instructor since 2020.
Emlyn joined the Skye Guides team in April 2023 and was back in 2024 for more fun after a winter of skiing in the Rockies.
