Graham Frost

Congratulations to Graham who completed his UIAGM/IFMGA guiding certificates last spring('07). Graham started work with Skye Guides in 2005 and his friendly, ultra-modest way with clients showed he was as natural in his guiding abilities as he is with his own climbing. He considers his guiding experience in the Cuillin to be very valuable when dealing with clients in the Alps. We wish him all the best in his new home and career ahead.

The following Alpine courses are available with Graham:

Introduction to Alpinism- including easier 4000m peaks.

Classic Alpine Routes and Peaks-including Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn.

Ski Mountaineering- including the classic Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route.

Icefall Climbing-from introductory right through to some seriously huge steep falls; Arolla, Kandersteg, Ecrins- your choice.

Rock Climbing- high mountain routes like the Chamonix Aiguilles or multi-pitch valley routes means climbing is guaranteed.

Private Guiding- available on a daily basis for any ambitions including the North Face Trilogy.

Enquiries are welcome either through the Skye Guides Contacts page or by contacting Graham direct through his web-site (see Links page). Please mention Skye Guides especially if you have done any mountaineering with us in the past.

If you are planning a trip to the Alps advice, training and assessment are all available in advance with Skye Guides. Feedback is passed on to Graham allowing clients to get straight into action on their Alpine vacation rather than spending time learning the basics.

Graham has a climbing C. V. as long as your arm. He started climbing in the Peak District in the mid-eighties and had ascended the Walker Spur on the Grandes Jorasses before leaving home! He went to Bangor University and freely admits to studying rock and ice climbing more intensely than French whilst there. Rope Access work gave plenty of leave and paid for an intense climbing and skiing lifestyle throughout the 90’s.

Graham is ideally situated in Evolene, under 2 hours from Chamonix, Geneva and all of the major Swiss Valais resorts.

Motor biking is Graham’s other big passion in life- his ambition is to run the first Climbing/Biking guides company. Enquiries welcome!
